About the Event
This course will provide first responders with the essential tools and skills to defend themselves if attacked by an edged weapon in a close-quarter environment. This training will provide instruction on topics such as:
•The 21-foot rule
•Open, empty-hand knife defense strategies
•Disarming strategies
•Incapacitating the assailant
Students will be instructed on pre-attack indicators and creating distance when applicable. This training is designed for police, fire, and EMS personnel.
